Nation Pays Tribute to 26/11 Martyrs on 6th Anniversary

terror attackNew Delhi, Wednesday, November 26 – The heroes of 26/11, the terror attack which took away lives of several innocent people on Indian soil 6 years ago, were remembered by the countrymen.

On the horrible day in the history of Mumbai, a number of people, including men, women and children, lost their lives when terrorists all of a sudden opened fire. The casualties were caused at the Oberoi Trident, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Leopold Cafe and Cama Hospital.

Thanks to the true courage of Indian soldiers like Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kamte, Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Vijay Salaskar and many other unheard heroes, Mumbai breathed a sigh of relief as Abdul Rehman,  Fahad Ullah, Abdul Rahman Chhota, Abu Ali, Abu Sohrab, Shoaib Ismail Khan, Babar Imran and Abu Umar were killed during the onslaught.

The survivor of the attack, Ajmal Kasab, was the only one arrested alive by the cops. Several soldiers fought heroically alongside NSG to whitewash the attackers, who entered in Mumbai to spread fear and terror all across the nation. However, terrorist failed in this context as a consequence of the lively spirit of Mumbaians who tried their best to get back to their works normally as soon as a full stop was placed over the massacre in the city on November 29.

On the sixth anniversary, families of the victims were teary eyed as it is yet not easy for them to overcome the pain of losing loved ones. The nation pays homage to the victims of 26/11 tragedy and proudly recalls the daring attitude of security personnel who fought bravely against terrorists to preserve love, faith and peace amongst Indians.
